Video Ad Scripts  ·  4 Scripts Ready to Film

Film on a phone. Keep it real. Raw always beats polished.

Before You Film
  • Film vertically on a phone
  • Do not overthink it. One take is often the best take
  • Natural light in the store is fine
  • Real reactions beat scripted ones every time

The Viral Redirect

You grab attention with a chaotic scene and then flip it to the camera and speak directly to the person scrolling. It is unexpected, and it works because people do not see it coming. There are two versions. Pick whichever one feels easier to film.

Target Length  ·  20–25 seconds
Version A  ·  The Plate Under the Bonnet
Scene Breakdown
Seconds 0–5
SCENE: Outside a car. One person is under the bonnet looking at something. Someone approaches looking concerned:
"Ah here. What is going on? You alright there?"
Seconds 6–10
Person under the bonnet looks up. They are holding a number plate. They look at it. Look at the camera. Dead serious:
"Jesus. The state of that plate."
Seconds 11–15
They look directly into the camera and point at the viewer:
"Oi. STOP."
"Not you."
(Beat. Pause for effect.)
"YOU."
Seconds 16–20
Woman pops into frame, casual and friendly:
"Did someone say dodgy plates?"
"Order from Only Plates today and get 15% off."
"Free delivery. Road legal. Sorted."
Seconds 21–25
TEXT ON SCREEN:
"Only Plates Ireland"
"15% off this week. Free delivery nationwide."
"onlyplatesireland.com"
Version B  ·  The Street Argument Redirect
Scene Breakdown
Seconds 0–5
SCENE: Outside on a street or car park. Two people appear to be having a disagreement near a car. Someone runs over with their phone like they are filming something dramatic:
"Oh my god. Oh my god. What is going on here?"
Seconds 6–10
They pan the phone. One of the people near the car holds up a battered old number plate. The other person shakes their head:
"That plate is an actual disgrace."
Seconds 11–15
Person with the phone spins it to face the camera. Points directly at the viewer:
"Oi. STOP scrolling."
"Yeah. YOU."
Seconds 16–20
Friendly and direct to camera:
"If your plates look anything like that, sort them out."
"Only Plates Ireland. 15% off this week. Free delivery."
Seconds 21–25
TEXT ON SCREEN:
"Only Plates Ireland"
"Road Legal. Free Delivery. 15% off this week."
"onlyplatesireland.com"
Filming Tips
  • Version A is easier to film with just two or three people
  • Version B needs a bit more setup but looks more dramatic
  • The pause before YOU is really important. Hold it for a second longer than feels natural
  • Whoever points at the camera should look genuinely serious in that moment
  • Film a few takes and pick the one where the timing feels most natural
  • Add captions to the final edit so people watching without sound can follow along
